It is a kind of high-voltage protective equipment used outdoors, which is connected with the incoming feeders of distribution transformer or distribution line, and mainly protects transformer or lines from short circuit and overload, as well as from inrush and outrush current.
Product Description
Load switching fuseholder is composed of insulation support and fuseholder tube, static contact is fixed on two sides of insulation support and moving contact is installed on two ends of fuseholder tube.Fuseholder tube is composed of inner quenching tube, outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube.Load switching fuseholder offers forced elastic auxiliary contacts and arc quenching enclosure for switching load current on and off. During normal operation by fuselink, the fuse tube is fixed to the closed position. When system failures occur, fault current causes fuse to melt immediately and electric arc to occur, which causes arc quenching tube to be heated and a lot of gas to explode. This produces high pressure and blows off the arc along with the tube.
After the fuse link melts, the moving contact has no clamping force again, the mechanism is locked and the fuse tube drops out.The circuit breaker is now in the open position.
If it is necessary to disconnect while the circuit breaker is charging, the operator should pull the moving contact via the insulating operating bar, at which point the main contact and static auxiliary contact are still contacted.
Whilst pulling the auxiliary contact is separated between auxiliary contacts there occur electric arc and the arc will be prolonged in arc extinguishing enclosure gap and meanwhile arc extinguishing explosive gas to blow off the arc during current passing zero.
Material: Silicone rubber or porcelain.
Manufacturing standard: IEC 60282-2.
Parallel Groove Connector
Tinned for No.6 soil to 250 KC mil stranded copper or aluminium.
Recoil bar
Heavy galvanised steel (also used for inserts, hangers, structural bolts and nuts)
Bridgedesign insulator
Higher insulation properties than ANSI distribution section standards and in most cases equal to ANSI switch and bus standards
Lower contacts
Non-visible – silver to silver, provide dual current path, independent of hinge pivot, Stainless steel back-up springs prevent arcing when tube rises in hinge during recoil
Upper contacts
Silver to silver on both surfaces
Mounting Hook
For load buster. Heavy construction also serves to guide tube during closing
Fuse Tube
Epoxy glass fibre lined
Toggle joint
Collapses to allow ejection when joint breaks
Robust ferrules
Pinned to top and bottom of tube for permanent alignment, large accessible lifting ring
Pivot pocket
Secures tube in hinge during closing
Pivot casting
Surfaces around pin rest on wide hinge surfaces to keep tube in alignment during closing
Flipper
Provides fast terminal separation, quick cable release and (in conjunction with the toggle) reduces the transfer of forces to the fuse link during closing.
